The Rollins College Tars were hoping that having the week off before Saturday's game at home against Saint Leo would cure it's ills. The Tars suffered their worst loss of the season in easily it's worst performance of the year losing 71-45. The Tars fell in a 18-1 hole and could never recover. Jeremy Sharpe and Scott Schuette paced the Tars with 14 points each. Rollins (14-8 7-5 SSC) shot a frigid 29 percent in the game. The Tars were just 6-22 from the 3-point line and went 17-26 (65 percent) at the foul line. The Tars had just six assists and turned the ball over 11 times.
The Lions improved to 12-10 and 6-6 in the SSC. The win was the third straight for Saint Leo and snapped a 28 game losing streak to Rollins. Three Lions scored in double figures on the day. Trent Thomas paced the Lions with 20 points, Regis Schaefer had 17 and Marcus Ruh netted 12. Leo shot 45 percent from the floor and hit 10-27 from the 3-point line. The Lions made good on 63 percent of their shots at the foul line. The Lions dominated the glass 38-25. Leo had 10 assists to go along with 10 turnovers.
