Tars Tangle With Panthers on Senior Day Saturday.

The Rollins College Tars (15-8 8-5 SSC) fresh off a 61-58 win over Lynn Wednesday will battle the Florida Tech Panthers at Warden Arena.  The Tars four Seniors Jeremy Sharpe, Ian Scott, Chris Malcolm and Myk Brown will be honored prior to the game. Malcolm led the Tars in the win Wednesday as he scored 21 points. The transfer from Winthrop was 5 of 5 from the field and 9 of 11 at the line in the game. Malcolm is averaging 11 points, 6.5 rebounds and a SSC leading 2.6 blocks a night.  Malcolm needs two blocks to pass Craig Reichel for the all-time Tar lead. Jeremy Sharpe is leading the Tars at 13.1 points a contest. The Senior from Saint Louis has scored 1,037 points in his Tar career. Myk Brown comes in putting up 11.9 a game. The transfer from VCU has scored 1,137 points in his Rollins career. Ian Scott leads the SSC at four assists a game.  The Tars come into the game averaging 68 points a game, they give up 67 a night. The Tars sit third in the SSC and desperately need a win to have any shot at securing the second spot with three games remaining including Saturday.
  Florida Tech comes  in second in the SSC and can all but secure the second seed with a win Saturday. FIT 18-5 (10-4 SSC) is riding a four game win streak. The most recent being a 53-46 win over Barry on Wednesday. The Panthers put up 76 points a game as a team. They allow 68 a contest. The Panthers are just 3-4 on the road this season. Simon Cummings leads the Panthers averaging 13 points a contest.
