The Tars split a pair of games in Las Vegas against Saint Martin and Seattle Pacific. The first game a 73-67 win over Saint Martin before a 74-54 loss to perennial power Seattle Pacific. They were led by 13 points each from Sharif Almulla and Jeff Dirkin- Chris Uhle added 12.
Rollins is led on the season by Alex Blessig. The junior averages 12.5 points a contest. to go along with 4 assists and 2.4 steals a game. Uhle is the only other Tar in double figures at 10.1 points per game. Uhle adds 4.7 rebounds a night and has a conference leading 21 blocked shots. The Tars were out rebounded 41-13 last time out and will need to improve on that number to have any chance Friday. The Tars are scoring 69.6 points a game, while giving up 68.6 on the defensive end.
Palm Beach Atlantic (5-4) comes in having lost four straight. This after winning the first five to begin the year. Last time out PBA was a 61-59 loser to Paine. A team that the Tars defeated 65-51 in Atlanta the first weekend of the season. PBA had three players score double figures against Paine. Evin Grahama and Clayton Williams each had 14 to lead the Sailfish. They also got a double double (11 points and 11 rebounds) from Ronnell Ross. The Sailfish have three players averaging double figures on the season. Graham puts up 14.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game- Ross scores 13.2 points and grabs 8.2 rebounds a night. Garet Tucker adds 10.8 points to round out the double digit scorers.
