Rollins Nipped At Home By Barry.

The Rollins Tars were nipped 84-79 by Barry at Warden Arena on Saturday. With the loss Rollins drops to 12-12 and 6-10 in the SSC. After the victory the Buccaneers improve to 17-7 and 11-6 in the SSC.
 Jakobi Bonner led Rollins with 19 points- Connor Mckim added 17- and- Parker Davis scored 14. The Tars shot 41 percent as a team- 36 percent (12-33) from the 3-point line- and- 72 percent (17-22) at the free throw line. The Tars had 16 assists- and- 11 turnovers.
 Barry was led by Tylan Birts with 24- while Evan Walshe netted 21. They shot 60 percent as a team- seven of 19 from the 3-point line- and- 57 percent (13-23) from the free throw line. They had 20 assists- and- 18 turnovers.
 The game was tied at seven in the early going. It would be 13-9 Barry midway thru the opening half. After a Mckim 3-pointer at the 5:42 mark of the opening stanza it was 21-18 Bucs. They would stretch that lead to 33-22 at the half.
 Rollins would score the first five points of the second half and after a 3-pointer by Trevor Recio they trailed 33-27. After a Bonner layup at the 11:01 mark Rollins was within four (52-48.) The game looked to be in Barry's control but a push by the Tars capped by a conventional three point play by Bonner got them within six (72-66) at the 2:22 mark. At the 1:13 mark Dayton Gumm would convert a three point play and the lead was down to three (74-71.) Davis would hit a three with 30 seconds left and the Tars would get to within 79-77 but that is as close as they would get as Barry would ice it the free throw line.
