Rollins Welcomes Fifth Ranked NSU To Winter Park Wednesday.

The Rollins Tars are just one of two teams to knock off now fifth ranked Nova Southeastern this season when they pulled off the upset of then top ranked NSU 86-85 on 12/14. Jakobi Bonner scored 20 points- Hutton Yenor- and- Dayton Gumm netted 14- while Connor McKim had 11 in the upset win. Tonight the Tars will welcome the Sharks to Warden Arena for a 7:30 PM tip.  Last time out Rollins (11-9 5-7 SSC) knocked off the University of Tampa. Yenor scored 20 points to pace the Tars- Bonner and McKim each notched 18- and- Brooks Cluxton scored 12. They shot 60 percent as a team- 45 percent (9-20) from the 3-point line- and- 75 percent (12-16) at the free throw line. The Tars had 18 assists- and- just six turnovers as a team.
 Bonner leads the season box score at 17.3 points per game- the senior is shooting 50 percent from the floor- and- 47 percent from long range on the year. Yenor is scoring 12.9 points per night- Gumm contributes 10.9 per contest- while McKim is getting 10.2 points per game- and- 3.3 assists per night. Trevor Recio leads the team in rebounding at 7.5 boards per contest. The Tars are averaging more than 75 points per night- but lead the conference on defense giving up 74.2 points per game.
 In the first meeting back in December NSU (16-2 10-2 SSC) was paced by Mikkel Kolstad who scored 28 points- Mark Matthews pored home 27- and- both Connor Zinaich and Nick Smith scored 10 points each. The Sharks shot 45 percent from the field- 40 percent (12-30) from the 3-point line- and- 78 percent (7-9) at the free throw line. They had 20 assists- and- 15 turnovers in the loss.
 The high powered NSU offense leads the country in several categories. They are scoring 105.6 points per game- shooting 55 percent from the field- and- are also tops in assists per game (23.5-) and- steals per game (12.5.)  Matthews leads the team in scoring pouring in 22.1 points per night- grabbing 8.1 rebounds per night- and- dishing out five assists per game. Smith scores 14.8 points per game- while he grabs six rebounds per game. Zinaich also scores in double figures at 12.2 points per game- while RJ Sunahara scores 12.1 points per night.
