Tars Fall In Finale.

The Rollins Tars dug themselves a 21 point hole in the first half- and- it would be to much to overcome as they fell 77-66 to Eckerd College in the season finale for both teams. Rollins finished the regular season at 14-14 and 8-12 in the SSC. Eckerd ended up 10-18 and 6-14 in the SSC.
 Jakobi Bonner led three Tars in double figures with 24 points- Kyle Marion tallied 12 off the bench- and- Brooks Cluxton added 10. Bonner also led the team on the glass with eight rebounds. Rollins shot a frigid 35 percent from the field- 11 percent (2-19) from the 3-point line- and- 87 percent (26-30) at the free throw line. The Tars had six assists- and- 11 turnovers in the contest.
 The Tritons were led by Myron Hagins who nailed six 3-pointer's en route to a game high 31 points- Admir Radonic was the only other player in double figures with 14. EC shot 40 percent from the field- 32 percent (12-37) from the 3-point line-and- 77 percent (13-17) at the free throw line. The Tritons dominated the boards winning the rebounding battle 45-33. They had 19 assists- and- 14 turnovers in the contest.
 The Tars got off to a slow start as they fell behind 24-4 eight minutes into this one. Marion would knock down a 3-pointer as part of a stretch when they made eight straight shots to cut the lead to four (32-28.) Rollins got to within one (35-34) with 1:21 left in the half- and- would go into the locker room trailing 38-34.
 Rollins was again in a 12 point hole (46-34) 1:35 into half number two. The Tars would make another push and after a pair of Marion free throws were within two (48-46) with 12:46 remaining. The Tritons would then go on a 14-4 run that put the game out of reach. The Tars are the seventh seed and will face second seeded Nova Southeastern at Rick Case Arena Tuesday night at 7:30 PM.
