Tars Tangle With Bucs Saturday.

The Rollins College Tars continue a stretch of playing opponents in the top half of the Sunshine State Conference when they welcome the Barry Buccaneers to Warden Arena on Saturday.  Rollins (12-11 6-9 SSC) is coming off a hard fought 77-72 loss to fifth ranked Florida Southern on Wednesday. Jakobi Bonner led three Tars in double figures with 22 points- Hutton Yenor tallied 15- and- Brooks Cluxton added 14 to go along with a team high nine rebounds. The Tars shot 42 percent from the field- 48 percent (10-21) from the 3-point line- and- 80 percent (12-15) from the free throw line.  Rollins won the rebounding battle 38-33. They had 17 assists- and- 14 turnovers in the game. The Tars come into the game averaging 76.3 points per game on offense- while the zone defense implemented my Tom Klusman 40 years ago has allowed just 74.7 points per night.
 Bonner leads the season box score at 17.5 points per game- Yenor adds 12.9 per contest- while Connor Mckim (10.6 points per night-) and- Dayton Gumm (10.3 points per game) also average double figures.
 Barry (16-7 10-6 SSC) is coming off a 100-95 overtime  loss to Palm Beach Atlantic last time out. Tylan Birts led the way with 24 points and eight rebounds- Toru Dean added 21- Evan Walshe netted 16.  They score 88.2 points per game- while they allow 80.4 points per game on defense. Birts is averaging 18.9 points per game- while he leads the team in rebounding at 8.8 rebounds per game. Jake Kakar averages 11.9 points per game- Johannes Dolven scores 10.0 points per night. David Moya leads the team in assists at 4.2 per night.
